We are ID Cyber Solutions.
This is our privacy notice for our customers. It explains what we do with information we hold about you.
We promise to keep your information confidential and to keep it secure and only allow people with a genuine need within and outside our organisation to access or use it.
We are a data controller which means we are responsible for making decisions about how and why your data is used. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office who oversee the protection of personal data in the UK and enforce the law. Our registration details are here.

Why do we need information about you and what information do we hold about you?
We will mostly use your contact information to follow up on your enquiries and deliver our services including training, events and assessments and submissions/accreditations like Cyber Essentials that we support you with.
We will also need payment details which may relate to you as a person if you are a sole trader or attending training independently of your employer. We use this information to ensure our services are paid for and our accounts are managed according to UK tax legislation.
If you complain about the services we have delivered or any other element of our working relationship with you, we will use your contact and complaint data to help investigate and report back on your concerns and, where necessary, to seek legal advice.
If an event or training session involves catering, we will need information about your dietary requirements, but we will only collect or share this with your explicit consent.
What allows us to use your personal information?
Our use of your personal information is usually because of:

Our contract to deliver services you have asked for (training, assessments, and accreditations like Cyber Essentials)

Our business interests (like following up on your enquiries about our services, keeping you informed of new developments in what we do, managing our mailing lists, running events, and handling any customer complaints)

We will only use your sensitive information (special categories of personal data like information about your health) for catering requirements at our events and only with your explicit consent.
What happens if you don’t provide personal information?
If you do not provide information when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have entered into with you.
Who do we share your information with?
We share customer information with:

We never share more than is necessary and, if we are sharing with a service provider, we ensure their use of your data is managed strictly and securely under a contract.
Socials and connecting online
If you chose to communicate with us via social media (Twitter/X, LinkedIn) please be aware that your data will also be held and used by the social media provider. You should ensure you read their privacy notices carefully and agree to their terms and conditions before you contact us in this way. We will not ask you for sensitive information this way and these contact methods are not corporately approved for business use to contact customers.
Where do we store your information and how long do we keep it?
Your personal data is held securely in the UK and in the EU/USA where appropriate steps have been taken to keep it safe.
Your information is kept for a maximum of six years where it is needed for accounting purposes, service delivery requirements of accreditation schemes and for any legal case or claim.
Enquiries which do not lead to a business relationship will only be held for a maximum of one year before secure destruction.
Your rights

Data protection complaints
If you wish to complain about our use of your personal information or the way we have handled a request in relation to your rights under GDPR, or you believe we have breached your personal data you can contact us using the details at the top of this notice. All complaints will be acknowledged within 30 days and responded to without undue delay and will be considered by our Data Protection Lead.
You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner if you are unhappy with the way we use your data, but they will expect you to try to resolve any issue with us first.
